First United Methodist Preschool is Accredited by The Association for Early Learning Leaders and Four Star Certified by Texas Rising Star

We are proud to be accredited by the National Accreditation Commission of the Association for Early Learning Leaders (formerly known as the National Association for Child Care Providers). Early Learning Leaders is a premier early childhood organization that recognizes high-quality programs for young children.  The accreditation system is composed of research-based standards and the best practices in the field of early childhood education.  The criteria examines programs on 5 core areas: teacher-child interaction, family engagement, curriculum, health and safety, and program administration.  We are pleased to be included in this elite group of part-time accredited centers in Central Texas. Texas Rising Star

First United Methodist Preschool is certified by Texas Rising Star as a four-star child care program – their highest rating! The Texas Rising Star program assists families with securing high-quality childcare centers throughout the State of Texas.  Through a branch of the Texas Workforce Commission, child care centers are recognized for exceptional teaching interactions and learning environments, and FUMP has been certified since 2008.  We work closely with a representative of Texas Rising Star, who visits our program and gives teachers individual feedback on interactions, curriculum and classroom management.
