Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! It’s here! First of all, thanks to all of our teachers for their amazing hard work in their classrooms this week and giving our children a warm welcome during classroom visits. We are delighted to have 25 new children beginning their adventures at FUMP and even more returning to our program. What an exciting time.
Thank you, parents, for your attendance at orientation on Tuesday. There are a few matters that I want to share as we ran a bit over time.
PARKING: Check out our HELPFUL HINTS FOR PARKING post which has photos and instructions for managing our parking lot. We do allow double parking, and only in specific areas. Also, be sure to share that link with family members and sitters who may be on campus. Thank you!
ORIENTATION: Did you miss our parent orientation? You can read the presentation in its entirety on our PARENT ORIENTATION post.
SAYING GOODBYE: Feeling nervous about saying goodbye? Please read our SAYING GOODBYE handout for our approach to transitioning to preschool. And please don’t hesitate to call for an update about your child’s day. We are happy to get a quick report for you on how they are settling in.
PHOTO OPS! Stop by the main preschool entrance to snap a photo with our “First Day of School” sign. We can capture your child with the Capitol Building in the background. It’s awesome!
PRESCHOOL OFFICE: If you need assistance from the preschool office, Gina and I are here to help. Gina Harper is our office assistant and she primarily takes care of invoices, payments and children’s records. I (Sandy) take care of enrollment, personnel, classroom issues, facilities, and more. Also, you will usually find me in the preschool office for two reasons: I’m easy to find when you have a question or need to let us know if someone else is picking up your child, etc. Secondly, I answer the doorbell as most of the activity there is related to preschool and our visitors. You will see me near my office door and it’s always open (literally and figuratively). Come on in anytime!
Invoices: Invoices will go out on Thursday. We are working diligently to finalize your first invoice and to include all of the applicable extras like tee shirts, pizza orders and Before and After School Care Requests.
Before and After School Care
We have completed our Before and After School Care rosters and those families will receive an email password regarding the BSC & ASC ROSTER and locations this evening. We had some late registrations and we needed to shuffle groups a bit. Thanks for your patience with the timing.
Tee Shirt and Lunch Kit Orders:
If you ordered a tee and/or lunch kit, we will place those in your child’s cubby as soon as we can. We are still processing those orders.
