Welcome back! We are so excited to see the children and hear the tales of Thanksgiving break! We hope you had a wonderful holiday.
ENews is coming to you later than normal, as we arrived back to find our NAC Accreditation walk in our doors just before school on Monday morning. We knew that she would arrive something this week, and it was right as we returned from the holiday. Our validator will be here through Tuesday at noon. She performs four hour long classroom observations as well as a school wide inspection and a review of administration practices, including children and staff records and training hours. She will send her findings off to the national headquarters and we will hear about their final decision in the coming months. I am so very proud of our teachers for their hard work and outstanding care of your children; I am so pleased to show them off to our validator.
- Do you have some photography skills? We are looking for a parent who can help out with a small project! Please let us know!
- This week, the oldest classes will enjoy Chapel with Ms. Lara.
- The teachers will be planning field trips to the Rotunda of the Capitol over the coming weeks. Each day, there is a musical performance by a choir or ensemble group. Teachers will notify you of the date and children must wear a FUMP tee shirt (child care licensing requires that each child have the school name, address and phone number on their person during a field trip). If you need a school shirt for your child, just stop by the preschool office. We can provide the shirt and place the charge on your next tuition bill.
- Parents in Erin and Stacy’s classes, please save the date for our Holiday Chapel at 12:15 on Wednesday, December 18. More info to come as the date draws near!
