Our Alumni

First United Methodist Preschool has been in operation since 1979, in the heart of downtown Austin. As a long-standing preschool, we reach the length and breadth of the Austin-metro area; from Kyle to Cedar Park, Lakeway to Manor, we draw families from near and far. That creates diversity in our population. We have second-generation FUMP families; the children who attended FUMP now have their own children attending here.  It speaks highly that FUMP is such a special place, so much so that our former students seek to have their children attend here as well.

Our alumni go on to attend prestigious colleges and universities, such as:

The University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, Rice, Carnegie Mellon, Wellesley College, Stanford, SMU, TCU, Baylor, and many more.

We have seen our town grow and change, just as we have watched our alumni evolve into accomplished young men and women.  Please read on to discover more about our alumni.

The Brown Family, (Christopher and Michele)	Camille Brown. She is an accomplished dancer and loves ballet and contemporary the most. She is a great student, and will be attending Westlake HS in the Fall. Vivienne Brown. She is a big Volleyball player, and asks as many questions now as she did when she was 3. Always curious and ready to soak up new information, she will be in 7th grade at Hill Country Middle. Lucy Brown is joining the Dance Company that Camille is on, and is very excited about that. She is also a very talented artist, particularly in anime, and can't get enough of reading. She is at Eanes Elementary.
The Botkin/Durst Family (Ryan/Desiree)	Robert attends St. Andrews. This year he made the All Region Band and won academic awards for Science, Geography, and Band. He is a member of the Honor Society and was recognized by Duke TIP for his performance on the SAT. He is also a member of the Davidson Institute for the Gifted's Young Scholars program. He loves computers, music, astronomy, and physics. Daisy also attends St. Andrews. She placed fourth in Ready Writing at the PSIA state competition this year. She plays select soccer, volleyball and, basketball. She also loves to sing, dance, act, and ride the unicycle. Her picture won first place last year at the Telluride Fourth of July parade.
The Walker Family (Michael & Sharon)	Elizabeth "Elle "Walker attends Cedar Creek Elementary. Her current accomplishment that is kind of a big deal is she is first place backstroke swimmer on her swim team. Amelia "Bree" Walker also attends Cedar Creek Elementary school and her activities include gymnastics, tennis and swim team.
The Eustace Family (Jim & D'Anne)	Brennan: entering School of Logic at Regents School of Austin Grayton: Grammar school at Regents School of Austin.
The Rolston Family	Ronan attends LBJ Academy of Science and Arts Annika, attends Ann Richards School for Young Women.
The DeHaas Famiily	He attends LBJ Academy of Science and Arts after a great junior high experience at Kealing. Playing in all their orchestras through the years, running track and becoming a member of the National Junior Honor Society has kept him quite busy at Kealing. He does much of the same at LASA focusing on good grades, cross country and trying to navigate this wonderful high school.
The Toomey Family	Michael Toomey attends Regents School of Austin. He plays lacrosse and is in the band and symphonic orchestra (plays the clarinet and the saxophone). He works at 7-11 in Northwest Hills if anyone wants to come buy a big gulp from him!! His favorite thing is Laity Lodge Youth Camp, where he has been going for years! Grace attends Hyde Park High School. She plays basketball and tennis. She also plays the guitar.
The Robins Family	We've now been in London for two years now. Sophia has just finished Year 7 at Maria Montessori School and starts secondary school at Parliament Hill School for Girls. Serena recently started full-day, also at Maria Montessori.
The Clampffer Family	Samara is doing very well. She plays select soccer, is a straight A student, and a wonderful big sister to her little brother. We live in Bastrop County now and our children attend Calvary Episcopal School.
